WHO WE ARE
We are Atlantic Canada’s largest healthcare foundation, with a reach that spans to every community in our province. We are Nova Scotia bold – grateful for and proud of our deep roots in our city and province; and unapologetic about our aspirations to transform health care for patients from across Atlantic Canada and beyond. We are grateful for every gift and accountable to every donor to the QEII Foundation. We are committed to creating meaningful and measurable impact, for patients today and tomorrow. We partner, we innovate, we lead with heart.
WHAT WE DO
With financial support from all levels of the community, the QEII Foundation helps fund new technologies, medical research, innovation and professional education that contribute to life-changing moments experienced every day by patients and their loved ones at the QEII. By working together with people who share a vision of better health, the Foundation strengthens care delivered at the QEII, improving the health and lives of Atlantic Canadians.
We nurture meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime and beyond. We listen to the needs and aspirations of our communities and act to improve lives. We value and honour unique perspectives to harness our collective strengths. We respect and care for each other in all that we do.
We do what we say we will do. We act with a commitment to unwavering accountability and transparency in everything we do. We do the right thing, even when it’s not the easy path. We are open, honest, consistent and fair. Our decisions are made through a lens of building trust with our donors, partners and our communities. Our ‘why’ is the impact we have on people’s lives.
We push for the bold approach; in the priorities we fund, the patients and families we serve, the messages we share, and the risks we take.
