Photography should be inspirational without using words. We use photos to tell a visual story of the patients, donors and health care staff that drive our mission forward.

BE BOLD

Depending on the execution, photography should be focused on a hero, shot on a neutral but contextual background with plenty of negative space for text.

Subject matter of photography should show confidence and expertise. All subjects should be coached to use deep gazes and focus when shooting action shots; and genuine, unforced expression when shooting portrait style shots.

HOT TIPS:

Consider the composition and execution. Be sure to capture multiple angles to capitalize on white space for ad executions. If you need to use a text overlay, consider shooting with a wide lens to off more photo area to crop the subjects.
Use adequate and proper lighting to enhance the subject when shooting people.
Use lighting to create a bold and powerful look.
Light the background, but not too much. It is important to give context to photos. Keep the composition and execution in mind when selecting background imagery and set up. Give yourself lots of options!
